Thumbs up to Ron Anderson for fighting the harder battle and fighting it well by staying at Parkland Memorial Hospital instead of taking a much higher-paying job he was offered as president of The University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston. It’s a rare person of deep moral and personal convictions who would choose to work for the greater good of his chosen city while sacrificing his own material rewards. We commend Anderson for staying with this city. Dallas should be proud to have him in its midst.
