The Southland Farm Store at 5855 Maple is adding 9,000-plus square feet of warehouse space for-birdseed. The store has been selling bird and other animal feed for twenty-four years. But birdseed is by far the store’s biggest selling item. Store personnel estimate that fifteen to twenty people a day, six days a week year-round come in for the hen-scratch, milo, sunflower seeds, and millet to feed their backyard chirpers.
