THUMBS UP On The Road To Parity

Thumbs up to Dan Petty, president of Woodbine Development Corporation and member of the Mobility Oversight Council, for proposing that the Dallas area form a permanent panel to lobby Austin for Dallas’s fair share of state highway funds. In the past, as many as seven different groups have championed their particular part of the Metroplex. That is why Dallas gets short-changed on state funding of local roadway projects. Unfortunately, the fact that State Highway and Public Transportation Chairman Robert Dedman Sr. hails from Dallas seems to have done us no good.
