The Grand Kempinski Hotel Dallas, formerly The Registry Hotel, is the first U.S. venture of the German-based Kempinski Hotels chain. The 529 room hotel is located in North Dallas at 15201 Dallas Parkway and is near shopping, golf courses, major airports, corporate office centers, and is only 10 minutes from the downtown Dallas business area.

Kempinski International, Inc. operates on the philosophy that hotels should deliver nothing but superior quality service. What is considered a VIP amenity by many U.S. hotels is standard for all Kempinski guests. These services include complimentary coffee in the lobby every morning, 24-hour room service and concierge, daily valet and laundry, shoeshine, nightly turndown service, complimentary limousine service to and from the airports, valet parking, and secretarial services.

Kempinski is world renowned for its international gourmet cuisine, and The Grand Kempinski Dallas is no exception to the rule. The hotel offers two restaurants, two lounges, and a very special Malachite Showroom, which features a weekly Sunday Champagne Brunch. The Grand Kempinski Dallas features a wide selection of leisure activities, including a health club, a gym with complete exercise equipment, massages, steam baths and steam cabinets, tanning booths, two racquetball courts with viewer’s gallery, four lighted tennis courts, and heated indoor and outdoor swimming pools.

Two of the largest ballrooms in the Southwest are found at The Grand Kempinski Dallas. The Crystal Ballroom accommodates 3,600 theater style and 2,500 banquet style, and is divisible into eight sections. The ballroom features hand-cut 18th century Italian crystal chandeliers, rose-colored velvet walls, mirrored panels, and hand-crafted ebony millwork. The more intimate, wood paneled Lalique Ballroom accommodates 650 theater style, 460 banquet style, and is divisible into two sections. The hotel’s crowning glory is the Malachite Showroom which seats 950 theater style and 800 banquet. Decorated in rich green marble reminiscent of Old-World palaces, it is the perfect setting for a special show or festive dinner. The Grand Kempinski Dallas was selected to work with the 1988 Symphony Showhouse in providing all food for the Junior Group’s Black Swan Restaurant as well as catering all the Patron Parties. The Gala Show-house opening party April 22 will feature the cuisine of The Grand Kempinski Dallas, dancing, and the premier viewing of the Symphony Show-houses.
