The 8.0 bar is back! Or at least it will be back-in The Quadrangle-this fall. Nightspot entrepreneur Shannon Wynne, who had some rocky times with Mexico, Tango, and Nostromo, and Hank Coleman of Zanzibar are teaming up to revive one of the most popular bars this city has seen. Wynne and Coleman, who worked together on Nostromo and Rocco, signed a lease with Quadrangle owner Kenneth H. Hughes in March for the old Sergio’s spot on the north side of The Quadrangle. Wynne, co-owner of the Fast & Cool club, says the making of the new 8.0 will take about six months. Other than that, they aren’t discussing specifics, but we can expect an upscale, more mature version of the old. wild 8.0-no dancing on the tables, no throw-ine chairs. Well, maybe once in a while?
