SAN FRANCISCO. CALIFORNIA-The Working Assets Visa Card, the plas-ti-cash card with a soul, celebrates a first anniversary this spring. During the first year, the cards, which are issued by the same people who run the Working Assets Money Fund, made it possible for sixteen nonprofit organizations to receive donations of $2,000 each. Each time these special Visas are used. Working Assets sets aside 5 cents for progressive nonprofit organizations that represent peace, human rights, the environment, and aid to the hungry. So far, Working Assets reports more than 13,000 users.
