If you’re pregnant during a busy social season, you might want to invest in a couple of black tie numbers, but it’s hard to keep them rotating around a packed social calendar-not to mention a constantly changing figure with a mind of its own.
At Village Maternity, located in Sakowitz Village off the Parkway, Sieta Crull offers would-be party-goers an alternative. For $40 a night ($5 for each subsequent day), you can rent a perky little strapless number or a provincial pastel tea-length to help get you through those social engagements in style.
The fall and winter are the heavy rental months, says Crull, while the spring season sees less activity from both customers and eveningwear manufacturers. In the two years of renting evening-wear, says Crull, not one piece has been returned damaged. So far, all of Crull’s rental business has been strictly by word of mouth. But, she says, as Dallas women keep blooming, her rental business keeps booming.
