THUMB AWARD ONE-MAN TASK FORCE

|

Thumbs Up to Fort Worth police officer Richard Morris for bending over backwards to make sure all women in the area know the basics of self-defense. Morris, who has a black belt in karate, has been on the road for the past few months giving free self-defense demonstrations at colleges, coliseums and just about anywhere women congregate. Morris says he hopes to ease some of the fear that women are experiencing since the murders in South Fort Worth have been reported. Attendance at the seminars has been overwhelming, with women from 10 to 90 years old attending from as far away as Abilene. Morris says he hopes to reach as many as 30,000 women this spring.
