Thumbs Up to Richardson High School for being named one of the 202 best schools in the country. After the school received the honor in August, principal Tom Kelly, Spanish teacher Carla Brice and school board president Gerald McCasland flew to Washington, D.C., during the first week of classes to receive the school’s award from U.S. Education Secretary Terrell Bell. Richardson High School was selected from among 555 schools nominated by superintendents from 48 states.
