CONSUMER NOTES DALLAS PARKS: A PLACE IN THE SUN

|

Dallas Park and Recreation Director Jack Robinson says Dallas residents should be proud to know that the city has one of the best park and recreation systems in the country, with nearly 150 sites comprising about 19,600 land acres and about 27,500 water acres. For this month’s “Consumer Notes,” we decided to find the 15 best parks Dallas has to offer.

We wanted to know which ones were the most fun to visit and which ones looked the best. (Remember, a lot of park landscaping suffered freeze damage last winter.) So we asked the assistant directors from the Samuell Region, the Bachman Region and the Mountain Creek Region to name the five best parks from their areas. Here’s the list and a chart showing the features of each.
