THUMB AWARD WACKER’S WONDROUS WIN

Thumbs Up to Texas Christian University Football Coach Jim Wacker, who gave Fort Worth spectators a thrill when he turned the Horned Frogs into champs who led the nation during opening season. The team beat last year’s record by a landslide, scoring 104 points during the first two games-more points than they scored during the entire 1983 season. Ticket sales increased by 1,000 over last year, says Betty Knox of TCU information services, and people have been lined up at the ticket booth for a chance to see such team stars as Kenneth Davis, Tony Jeffrey and Anthony Gulley
