The night has always beguiled. Poems have been written about it; promises are broken (or kept) in it. Humdrum days turn to Hollywood under the cover of the night-like a movie backdrop, it offers a setting against which we can relive the glamour of bygone days.
This season, the stars will come out at night in seductive fabrics-silk, velvet, gold lame-in cuts that cling. You’ll see narrow lines that are luxuriously com for table but that don’t forfeit a whit of drama. Fashion for evening are simpler, but the effect is sophisticated and sensuous, evoking images of the relaxed, rakish grace of early screen queens.
This is fashion that allures with assurance without overplay or excess. But these designs aren’t shy-you’ll also see rhinestones, lace and beadwork in conficent cascades. It all adds up to sheer, easy elegance. Enchanting!
