WOODIE WOODS TAKES A MAYOR’S PREROGATIVE

|

You have to know Woodie Woods to make any sense out of his decision not to run against Fort Worth’s House Majority Leader Jim Wright. At least that’s the feeling among veteran watchers of the former Fort Worth mayor who resigned his office ostensibly to run against Wright.

On Thanksgiving Day Woods surprised everybody by saying he wouldn’t make the race after all. Said Woods recently of that decision, “I said from the beginning that I don’t want to go to Congress. We don’t have to do that to get rid of Jim Wright.”

He said that although a poll showed he had good name recognition, it also showed that a number of other conservative candidates could win. He says he would support and work for whichever one runs.

People who know Woods Nothing is as sublimely sensual as silk; it simply demands to touch and be touched. You’ll pamper your body from head to toe with this pajama set by Ora Feder. Shown here in blush satin trimmed in blue ($232.50), it’s available at James Linen and Lingerie, 2800 Routh, #119. 748-2325.
