THUMB AWARD NEW BLOOD REJUVENATES THE NEWS

|

Since Osborne took over, the paper has completely restaffed its Washington bureau (and now is in position to compete favorably with the Times Herald on capital coverage), expanded coverage in Houston and San Antonio, and become the first truly statewide paper in Texas. Osborne is slowly but surely getting rid of much of the journalistic dead wood at the News and turning it into the type of aggressive newspaper this city needs.
