COUNTRY CLUB SET SWOONS FOR SPOONS

|

Even folks born with silver spoons in their mouths can’t resist those little sterling ones that accompany the espresso at the Dallas Country Club.

At least 600 of the demi-tasse spoons have mysteriously disappeared during the last year, and they haven’t all been caught in the garbage disposal.

Because only the trendy demitasse spoons-and not a random selection of silverware-are missing, the club’s management has ruled out staff members as possible culprits.

Tut, tut. It’s hard to believe that the club’s well-heeled members are so fascinated with the spoons that they feel they just have to own one. Those who can afford the $15,000 initiation fee and $107 monthly dues must be able to afford their own.
