You’ve probably never heard of most of these people. We think you’ll be hearing a lot about them in the months to come. For the most part, these are the laborers in the vine-yard, the unsung heroes who make things happen. We found out about them by asking people who ought to know – civic, academic, political, cultural and other leaders. It wasn’t hard getting 78 names. The hard part was resisting the temptation to write whole stories about each one of our nominees.
