HIGH SCHOOL ALL-STARS

|

Remember your senior English class at good ol’ Wherever High? Remember getting very bored listening to old Mrs. Crankshaw talking about the symbolism of colors in Moby Dick’? Remember how your mind started wandering? Remember that creepy kid with the big ears who sat on the front row and raised his hand every time Mrs. Crankshaw asked a question and he answered with words you never heard of and you wished that just once he would answer wrong and say something stupid? He’s a United States Senator now. Remember that weird girl with the blond hair who always bugged you the way she hissed her S’s and never laughed at your jokes? She just won an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress. Who would have ever guessed it . . . Think back. Now turn the page. If you went to high school in these parts, one of these stars might have been the kid sitting next to you.
