The old adage that “you get what you pay for” doesn’t always hold up. It certainly doesn’t in NFL football. A study done recently by F.A.N.S., Ralph Nader’s new sports-oriented consumer group, shows some interesting figures. The most expensive average ticket price in the league, $ 11.79, belongs to none other than the Seattle Seahawks. The Sea-hawks, you’ll remember, won 2 and lost 12 last year. Ranking fifth highest, at an average of $9.93 a seat, are the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who, at this writing, haven’t won a game.

The highest priced individual tickets belong to Washington ($20), Philadelphia ($20), the New York Jets ($19.25), and Denver ($19). The Cowboys” top is $12.

The lowest average ticket price in the NFL is $7.37. It belongs to the Los Angeles Rams. It’s worth noting that the Los Angeles Dodgers also have the lowest priced seats in all of major league baseball. It may not be the City of Angels, but their ticket prices are certainly heaven sent.
