People love to hate on big-box retailers. Why buy something mass market when you can find something original that absolutely no one else will have?

But let’s face it: Not everyone can afford to shop exclusive designer pieces, and, well, many big-box retailers have great stuff. Who hasn’t spent hours wandering CB2 or walked into Target to buy toothpaste and left with $200-worth of home decor?

We asked our 2022 Best Designers, “What is your favorite decorative or furniture item from a big-box retailer?” Here’s what they had to say.

Ballard Designs
