We asked Dallas tastemakers for their seasonal staples—those items that, for them, the holidays wouldn’t be complete without. Peacock Alley owners Josh and Jason Needleman share their favorites.

Favorite place to buy gifts:
Josh: Peacock Alley of course!
Jason: Peacock Alley (shameless plug!)

Favorite hostess gift:
Josh: A bottle of tequila
Jason: A monogrammed set of hand towels.

Go-to place for gift wrap:
Josh: Nothing beats Charles’ gift-wrap in our Dallas store. He saves me every time!

Go-to holiday cocktail or spirit:
Josh: Reposado, shaken with a freshly muddled jalapeno
Jason: Don Julio 1942 on a rock.

Favorite holiday sweet treat:
Jason: Hot fudge ice cream sundae—tried and true and never disappoints.

Dish your holiday spread would be incomplete without:
Josh: A bowl of chili
Jason: My wife’s lasagna.

Favorite Holiday Flick:
Jason: Elf

Favorite holiday scent:
Jason: Ernesto by Cire Trudon, a candle line now carried at Peacock Alley.

Favorite holiday tradition:
Josh: Our home always has a Mexican flare to the decor as well as the food—it’s what makes it unique!
Jason: Christmas caroling. A whole gang of us, which makes it more fun!

Favorite holiday event in Dallas:
Josh: A piñata. I’m a believer that piñatas make everything more fun!

Best Santa in Dallas:
Jason: Our bartender!

Favorite gift to give at the holidays:
Josh: A new pillow. I am a huge fan of our down pillows and most people need new pillows. It’s something you rarely treat yourself to, but should.

Best tip to get ready for guests for the holidays:
Jason: Refresh your sheets and/or towels. There’s nothing nicer than making guests feel pampered when they are in your home.
