We asked Dallas tastemakers for their seasonal staples—those items that, for them, the holidays wouldn’t be complete without. Coco & Dash founders Teddie and Courtney Garrigan share their favorites.

Favorite place to buy gifts: Coco & Dash, of course!

Favorite hostess gift: A set of embroidered linen cocktail napkins from Coco & Dash that can be used throughout the year

Go-to source for holiday tabletop and serving pieces: Ivy House, a Dallas original

Favorite non-alcoholic holiday drink: A classic cranberry lime spritzer with a sprig of fresh mint

Favorite holiday sweet treat:  We love our family’s tradition of baking several delicious generational holiday recipes including Southern Sand Tarts and Nana’s Fudge.

Dish your holiday spread would be incomplete without: So hard to choose just one! But we would probably stop in our tracks without our family’s homemade southern cornbread dressing.

Favorite holiday tunes: Anything by Johnny Mathis

Favorite holiday flick: White Christmas with Bing Crosby

Favorite holiday scent: Our go-to scent usually includes some combination of mandarin orange, pine, and cinnamon.

Must-have decorative item: Plenty of fresh fragrant greenery and pine cones

Favorite holiday tradition: We host family and friends at a relaxed Christmas Eve supper of homemade chili tamales from The Tamale Company, and an abundance of holiday sweets.

Favorite holiday event in Dallas: Holiday at The Arboretum

Best local holiday cards source: We love to shop other independently owned businesses, and Needle in a Haystack is a great place for cards and invitations.

Best place to see holiday lights: Armstrong Parkway
