This grass really is greener.

Synthetic grass is becoming a more popular choice for Dallas homeowners—and for good reason. “Installing synthetic grass cuts down on pollution and reduces your carbon footprint, not to mention the obvious reason: water consumption,” says Kimberly Van Buren from Synthetic Grass Pros.

It’s also a solution for areas that are hard to grow natural grass. “In Dallas, people struggle with their lawns in the hot months and overseed in the winter months,” Van Buren says. And though synthetic grass can cost up to three times more than installing natural grass, once you start getting a return on investment (in about three years), you’ll save on irrigation expenses and monthly maintenance.
