David Valle: He works with me. He’s a trusted friend, hard worker, and noble man. I tell everybody that I have finally found a man I can’t live without!
Toyota Tundra: This ever stylish and fashionable truck—in white, of course—takes me all over Texas and the surrounding states so I can bring interesting and unique furniture back to my friends and customers in Dallas.
Escentric Molecules 01: I buy this fragrance from Forty Five Ten, and I’m asked on a daily basis what I’m wearing. It’s imported from London and has a subtle yet sensuous woodsy scent with an enormous amount of soul.
Red wine: It’s clean and straightforward. I stick to basics.
New Paris Interiors: A coffee table design book about sparse minimalist interiors with a European edge. |
Kozy Kitchen: I love going there for breakfast. I always have two eggs scrambled with cheese and well-done bacon. The bacon has to be crispy, almost crumbly.
7-Eleven: I rarely have time to go to a grocery store, so I’m on a first-name basis with everyone at the convenience store.
Design trend: I’m drawn to a mix of the go-go ’60s furniture in white vinyl with pop art, Lucite tables, shag rugs, crystal chandeliers, Saarinen tulip tables, and gold French accents.
Music: My go-to guy for music is Oscar Calvillo, also known as “Mr. Diamond.” Oscar mixes global urban grooves with remixed Motown, modern bossa, and classic ’60s, and he makes it work beautifully.
Henry Beguelin: They have the highest quality products, use the best materials, and have a unique perspective. I have cashmere sweaters from there that I always wear.
Kelly Wearstler: Her unexpected style is a kaleidoscopic weave of pattern, color, texture and disparate elements, which creates entirely glamorous and sophisticated rooms.
The Santas: Santa Fe and Santa Barbara. So casual and relaxing.
