Vinya will forever change what comes to mind when you hear the words “consignment store.” How many other resale shops specialize in contemporary designer furniture by the likes of Holly Hunt, Baker, Donghia, and Roche-Bobois? Or high-end vintage classics by Herman Miller and Eames? Owners Debra Owens and daughter Tristan have cultivated special relationships with top showrooms in Dallas to sell their overstock, and some of the best designers in town, redecorating clients’ houses, are already consigning with Vinya. “We rearrange every day, but that’s what makes it fun,” Tristan says. “We have people, especially designers, coming in every other day, so everything keeps changing.” Translation: Stop by often. The well-placed vignettes are a tribute to Debra’s 20 years as a designer, and they make it easy to picture the finds in your own favorite room.
