D Home Scout:
Photographer Manny Rodriguez.

The Mission:
Find and photograph an antique that speaks to you.

The Find:
A 4-foot-tall Ganesh in fruitwood, $18,000 at Art of Old India.

Why the Ganesh?
“As soon as I walked in, I made two lefts and there he was. One of the things I love about photography is that I can fall in love with a subject—something or someone—that I can’t take home. But I can capture it with my camera, and I ‘own’ it. So this is ‘my’ Ganesh.”
