Neiman Marcus opened its first store in Dallas in 1907. With mahogany paneling, plush carpets, and Parisian haute couture, there was simply no other store like it in the country. One hundred years later, it still impresses. To celebrate, Neiman’s is selling limited edition home accessories, including Steuben’s crystal Cosmos Pool and Starlight decanter; Lalique’s green crystal Champs Elysées bowl; a Neiman Marcus Pop-Up Book commemorating the anniversary; Zodiac bowl by famed silversmith Emilia Castillo; and Gien plates (shown), set of four, $100. The store hosts interior designer Vicente Wolf on Oct. 4, Waterford crystal designer Jim O’Leary on Oct 17, and Emilia Castillo on Oct. 20. 1618 Main St. 214-741-6911. www.neimanmarcus.com.
