“I’ve got a thing for old pots,” declares Elaine Honea, designer and owner of Les Antiques, which relocated from its booth in The Mews to the au courant International on Turtle Creek. Honea’s extensive collection of early Roman glass (circa A.D. 50) takes center stage here, rubbing elbows with ancient vessels from other cultures and eras, including Greek terra-cotta pots, pale blue and green Persian pottery (“such Mediterranean colors,” Honea says), and Chinese Tang and Ming Dynasty horse-and-rider pieces. She still carries a large selection of Mediterranean furniture and decorative arts, 16th to 18th century antiques, and 17th century Spanish furniture. “I like to mix primitive and formal,” she says. “If you do it right, it brings the formal down and adds a punch of glamour with the rustic.” Les Antiques Inc. 150 Turtle Creek Blvd., Ste. 105. 214-720-0099.
