2006 Viking and D Home Outdoor Kitchen of the Year
Today’s busy lifestyle calls for an escape—one that includes relaxation, rejuvenation, and good times spent with family and friends. We’ve found Dallas’ best outdoor kitchen. Take notes, and be the entertainers next season.

Why We Love It
Redefining the modern home patio, this magnificent Tuscan treasure is the ideal transition from the daily routine to a luxurious, relaxing retreat. Out here, it’s all about lifestyle. This award-winning kitchen encompasses more than 2,000 square feet of hand-chiseled flagstone floors and vaulted ceilings made of hand-hewn and antiqued cedar tresses. The dining area’s wrought-iron table features one-of-a-kind details—tumbled marble and slate top—and the Peruvian buffet server is made of distressed iron wood and iron. Perfect for entertaining or enjoying an outdoor meal with your family, the lounge area accommodates eight around a warm, transparent Isokern fireplace with dual hearths.

The Details
Zachary Luterman didn’t forget to add the special touches to his outdoor kitchen—he understands that the details make all the difference. Wall-to-wall cabinets and a center 12-inch wide cooking island are custom milled from pecky cypress wood. For an aged look of authenticity, the cabinets feature a distressed, antiqued finish. And all the beautiful, Australian granite countertops with tumbled travertine backsplashes add a touch of elegance to this outdoor living area and kitchen.

Patio guests can also enjoy views of a heavily treed lot and a trickling stream through the two expansive casement windows located on the back wall.

Luterman added other stainless steel appliances throughout the kitchen as well—a double sink, dishwasher, ice maker, oversized refrigerator, and a warming drawer/towel warmer.

To top it off, the outdoor kitchen overlooks a spectacular pool area that is bordered by multiple waterfalls and a hidden cove. Five multi-level sitting and lounging areas, a full outdoor bath and changing areas, and an open walk-in shower area complete this backyard oasis.

Viking Product
Worthy of even the city’s best chefs, this outdoor kitchen features the sleek, upscale touch of a Viking product. The state-of-the-art Professional Series island vent hood by Viking completes the bar and grill area that is complete with a multi-purpose 60-inch cooking surface with a combination grill, side burner, and rotisserie.
