DINING ROOM
Good design lasts forever. We ran this picture of Local owner Alice Cottrell’s dining room in 2003, and it still looks fresh. During the blistering days of summer, Cottrell’s breezy mix of modernist icons such as the Eero Saarinen Tulip chairs and her grandmother’s gilt-edged crystal (the water goblet almost begs for a frosty glass of iced tea) makes us feel a tad bit cooler.
