When technology innovators know they can do something better, faster, and more cost effectively, it’s difficult for them to resist giving it a shot. This is exactly what Marty Chintakindi, Palni CEO, and Laki Sundaram, managing partner, did after Chintakindi launched the engineering design and IT organization in Dallas in 2015.

Palni’s engineering services mission is to help telecom carriers implement broadband connectivity and adopt digital transformation technologies to drive productivity and improve efficiencies. Palni has invested in industry-specific resource talent and engages with customers in understanding business challenges before starting technology implementation. “We provide turnkey engineering services for large providers,” Chintakindi says. “From the beginning, we wanted to enable end-to-end design that is effective and cost efficient based on our automated tools to accelerate delivery.”

Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, traditional enterprises faced challenges in adopting remote work and providing support to their customers. For Chintakindi, it was reminiscent of growing up in rural India with inadequate information access and other IT hardships. He and Sundaram, both electrical engineers, have long been addressing these issues locally and decided to create a team within Palni that could develop automation tools for fiber design and project automation. It is their mission to make it feasible for those who live in the rural areas of the U.S. to have access to broadband services. These automation tools help to complete engineering design at a rapid pace, enabling faster deployment of broadband services across the nation. Palni has also expanded on its expertise in artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) to help enterprises automate customer support during the pandemic.

Palni is proud to be North Texas’ leading engineering design and information technology organization. The company has grown from its infancy to 400 employees, including Brian Peterson and Renee Decker, who are part of the company’s senior leadership. Together, the Palni team fulfills the company’s vision to enable broadband services in rural areas across the country.
