Jill Broussard

What do you do?
“I am a founding partner at TXV, an early stage venture capital fund. I focus on all aspects of the firm, from fundraising to deal sourcing and portfolio development.”

Who is your style icon?
“I look at several people for style inspiration: Idris Elba, Don Draper, and, of course, the timeless Steve McQueen. These men are mid-century American cool, with a blend of formal and casual, clean lines.”

How does your work influence what you wear?
“I’m at the intersection of Silicon Valley and Wall Street. I have to be able to dress down or dress up, depending on the occasion or meeting. Being young allows for more flexibility; I can comfortably wear a smart casual suit to a meeting and not think twice.”

What inspires your style choices?
“The weather, my mood, and, most important, the occasion.”

How would you describe your style?
“A mix of smart business casual and athletic.”

What do you never leave home without?
“I always have to have a watch on my wrist, and I take my Moleskine notebook wherever I go.”

Do you have a go-to look?
On weekdays, it’s Bonobos tech chinos with a Mizzen+Main shirt or polo. On weekends, it’s joggers with a t-shirt or a polo shirt and shorts.

How do you accessorize?
“I’m not a big accessories guy. A watch and solid belt is all I need.”

What’s your favorite clothing store?
“Todd Snyder, which I try to visit in NYC at least once a year.”
