Real Estate research reports often focus on high-level fundamentals for the market at large. In the first half of 2017, DFW’s office market absorbed more than 4 million square feet. The region’s industrial market has finally broken the $4-per-square-foot-rental-average barrier to grow rents by 25 percent since 2012. Retail center vacancy, particularly in power centers, has reached an all-time low since the Great Recession. But our “Deal Ticker” aims to go beyond region-wide numbers and to hone in on specific deals.
We compile data from the region’s top real estate brokerage firms to determine the largest sales and leases in the office, industrial, and retail sectors. Transactions in our “Deal Ticker” closed between Nov. 1, 2016 and Nov. 1, 2017. This list does not include every deal done in North Texas during this time frame, but rather calls out the largest sales and leases from the last 12 months.
