From D CEO May 2018
SubscribeRichard Dix is the founder and CEO of Winchester Carlisle Cos., a Dallas-based holding company with more than 300 employees. It has traditional and active-adult homebuilding and property management subsidiaries, as well as title, mortgage, and single-family rental businesses. Dix’s modern office in North Dallas is filled with personal memorabilia, much of it focusing on his family and his interests in golf (he’s a 10 handicap and has played with Arnold Palmer and David Duval) and baseball (he and his family have visited a number of MLB stadiums, and he admits there’s nothing like a cold beer at Wrigley Field). A former regional president with Pulte Homes, the native Texan is an active member of the Lone Star Chapter of the Young Presidents Organization and has served on numerous nonprofit boards. Dix met his wife, Jennifer, at Baylor University, where he earned a BBA degree. Together they have two children—Nate and Gracie—and are currently co-chairing a $27 million Hope Lodge campaign for the American Cancer Society.
