Education:
University of Texas at Austin (BBA-Accounting)

First Job:
“I actually started my career in accounting 26 years ago with EY. I have worked here ever since and have been provided constant opportunities to learn, grow, and improve myself as a leader.”

Greatest Inspiration:
“My husband and three children are my greatest inspiration in life. My husband is my best friend and working together with him to love, inspire, and mentor our children has been the core of who we are for the past 20 years.”

Toughest Challenge:
“Navigating through the tough economic and business landscape in 2008 and 2009 was one of the biggest hurdles I’ve had to face as a leader. Fortunately, for us here in Texas, the impact was less severe than in many parts of the country. In times like this, it is important to remember: Your career is a marathon, not a sprint. Be patient but deliberate with your career development, and always remember to make time for yourself and your family.”

Car I Drive:
“A BMW X5. I still need a third row on occasion, and it helps to be able to transport two Labradors to the lake on weekends.”

How I Motivate Others:
“I strive to motivate others through empathy and compassion. It is important to understand that there is not a one-size-fits all approach to leadership, and everyone is motivated differently. The best leaders are able to understand someone’s goals and values, and use them to better mentor and inspire their team. Throughout my career, my most impactful mentors recognized my potential early in my career and challenged me to constantly move outside my comfort zone. It is something I strive to mimic today.”

Proudest Moment:
“Being provided the opportunity to become a partner at EY has been my proudest professional moment. It has been an honor to be trusted with this position.”

Who’d Play Me in a Biopic:
“Jennifer Aniston, because what woman wouldn’t want to be played by Jennifer Aniston?”

Hobby/Passion:
“I love to travel, try new restaurants, and read great fiction.”
