Why I Love My Job

Helping our professionals grow and prosper by creating a culture that promotes and encourages collaboration, teaming, diversity, and inclusion. Every leader should have a sense of stewardship and strive to build a work environment that’s better for the next generation.

Best Advice

Be flexible with your career and opportunities that present themselves. It’s not about the job or title you want next; it’s about building the right skills and competencies that will position you for future career advancement. Some opportunities may appear as challenges, but end up as rewarding experiences. I learned this when I moved to Mexico City for a foreign assignment. There were many challenges—moving my family, a new work environment, living in a foreign city with a different culture, etc. But as it turned out, it was the greatest opportunity provided to me by KPMG and allowed me to grow my career.

Fun Fact

I was born in Havana, Cuba, and emigrated to the United States at the age of 8.

Looking Ahead

I’m excited to see Dallas become a global destination for business. The city has quickly become the location of choice for companies to have a presence, and that creates a lot of opportunities for everyone in the region.

Beverage of Choice

Having PepsiCo as a longtime KPMG client, I would say a good ol’ Pepsi is the call. I also enjoy a glass of HALL wine every once in a while.

Car I Drive

Audi RS5

Hobby or Passion

Traveling with my family, and playing golf.

Destination of Choice

Beaver Creek, Colo., for skiing, and Rosemary Beach, Fla., for the beach.

Bucket List

For me and my son, Ben, to play Augusta National. (I’m still waiting for that invite!)
