You’re a member everywhere from the Dallas Country Club to the Crescent. But have you paid your dues to the 21 Club? Founded in 1999, this group is dedicated entirely to a love of socks—not just any run-of-the-mill Gold Toes, but a luxury men’s sock line created by designer V.K. Nagrani of New York’s Ovadafut Hosiery Company. Admission may be less cutthroat than at the DCC (buy 21 pairs and you’re in), but the company is no less elite. “The largest pool of CEOs wearing these socks, second to New York, is Dallas,” says Ovadafut’s Nav Mundi. Roy Williams and Eddie Jones are among the local notables who don the $30-a-pair socks sold in Dallas exclusively at Ken’s Man Shop and Stanley Korshak.
Besides having the finest-frocked feet in the boardroom, members get to suggest designs for future collections and have a one-on-one wardrobe consultation with Nagrani himself. Have a favorite pair from a previous Ovadafut collection? Members of the 21 Club can vote to revive a style for the “best of the best” series that’s released every two years. (Designs are discontinued once the original run sells out.) If you stay in good standing, Nagrani might even name a line after you. That’s no small feat, for feet.
