Putting the B in Beer

Fitness & Wellness
|

Stampede Light, the light-beer brainchild of local entrepreneur Larry Schwartz, is infused with B vitamins to prevent hangovers. We taste-tested the 115-calorie beer, which has surprisingly full-bodied flavor for a light brew, with a few slices of Brother’s pizza. Between four of us, we polished off 22 bottles (and 2 extra large pies) in four hours. We still can’t agree whether it’s the vitamins or Stampede’s lower alcohol content (3.8 percent, versus Michelob Light’s 4.3 and Corona Light’s 4.5), but we can report there were no hangovers. Stampede Light is available at local liquor and grocery stores.
