The fall’s hottest design event, The Second Annual Kips Bay Decorator Show House Dallas, opens to the public today, September 24. Dallas is the third city to welcome the event; other iterations are held in Palm Beach and New York City. Each philanthropic event supports local nonprofits, including North Texas’ Dwell with Dignity and The Crystal Charity Ball, as well as the Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club, which provides enrichment programs for New York City children.

The 2021 Kips Bay Decorator Show House Dallas will be held at 5138 Deloache Avenue, a six-bedroom Georgian home nestled inside Old Preston Hollow’s Sunnybrook Estates. The opulent property sits on 1.4 acres of manicured land and was listed for lease in 2020 for $36,000 per month.

This year, 26 of Dallas’ most acclaimed interior designers, architects, and landscape designers were given the chance to transform an assigned space in the home over a seven-week period.

For the next month, design aficionados can tour the reimagined home in person or via a 3D virtual video. Visits to the Show House must be booked in advance, and all visitors are required to wear masks and follow social distancing protocols.

This year’s Honorary Chairs are Jamie Drake and Bunny Williams; Co-Chairs are Steele Marcoux, Jan Showers, Jean Liu, and Chad Dorsey; and Vice Chairs are Trish Sheats and Laura Lee Clark Falconer.
