On October 7 and 8, D Home opened the doors to some of the Design District’s top showrooms during Thursday evening’s Design Walk, followed by expert-led industry panels during Friday’s Design Talk.

Attendees began their Design Walk journey at home base sponsor Gary Riggs and were able to visit fourteen different showrooms throughout the Design District. After more than a year at home, visitors were ready to raise a glass and experience everything the Design District had to offer.  Shuttles provided transportation between the showrooms as visitors enjoyed unique food, drinks, and creative activities at each stop. Special thanks to participating showrooms Abitare 18, AF Home Interiors, Alta Window Fashions, Arsin Rug Gallery, Christopher Peacock, David Sutherland, Dedon, Farrow and Ball , Ferrell Mittman, Ludowici, Muse on Slocum, Paris Ceramics, Poggenpohl, and The Romo Group.

On Friday, Design Talk guests were treated to a delicious breakfast at Brown Jordan. Moderator Joslyn Taylor, of Swoon, The Studio, led an engaging panel discussion on “Outdoor Living & Design” with industry experts Glenn J. Bonick of Bonick Landscaping, Kathleen Engels of Brown Jordan, and Melissa Gerstle of Melissa Gerstle Design. An afternoon lunch panel, held at Abitare 18, focused on “Design Trends.” Moderator Denise McGaha of Denise McGaha Interiors led the lively conversation with top designers Heidi Arwine, Chad Dorsey, and Joshua Rice. Thank you to all the sponsors for creating an event to remember.
