North Texas isn’t short on enticing shopping destinations, each one teeming with irresistible finds. Plano’s long-awaited Legacy West, the newest addition to the retail landscape, kicked off its grand opening June 2 with a three-day celebration.

The weekend was filled with sales, live music, free food, and a nod to Dallas-based brands. West Elm’s consistently buzzing store hosted pop-up shops for smaller, local designers that included VivJordan Paper and Lettering and Ahava Home.

The grand opening also marked the arrival of online athleisure retailer Fabletics’ first Texas store. Moving forward, Jamie Miyashita, Fabletics’ assistant manager, says the store will host community exercise events such as yoga.

Although the outdoor shopping center opened to much fanfare, many of the development’s stores aren’t open—or constructed—yet, elongating the wait for a full shopping experience.
