Laps of Luxury: A Posh Pool at a Mediterranean Mansion

Welcome back to Laps of Luxury, a weekly summer series where we spotlight the most stunning pools in North Texas.

Today’s pool is so substantial, even the largest lot in Dallas probably couldn’t accommodate it. So we’re taking a trip to Aledo, just west of Fort Worth. This tiny town has just over 1,000 households. Among them, you’ll find some of the most opulent homes in North Texas.

107 Nueces Trail is a Mediterranean mansion with nearly 20,000 square feet of living space and more amenities than your average hotel. Step into the foyer, and you’ll spot a subterranean wine cellar and tasting room through the glass floor panel. Head upstairs to take a peek at the private movie theater with rows of lounge chairs. There’s even a full-service spa on the lowest level, complete with a steam shower, sauna, therapeutic whirlpool, massage table, and nail salon chair.

The outdoor living areas, of course, are also palatial. An outdoor bar holds multiple refrigerators, ice machines, and drink coolers. The heated saltwater pool is accented by waterfalls, fountains, and fire features. Several raised platforms and steps punctuate its calm surface, offering a place to set a drink. A diving board rests on the edge of the deep end. Swim to the farthest side to enjoy a sweeping view of the Texas countryside–the home sits on over 100 acres of land, so the backyard is never-ending.

Take a full tour of this outdoor paradise with the gallery below.
