We at D Home want to help our Dallas design industry friends feel safe during this unprecedented time. To do so, we asked local showrooms to detail their plans for re-opening. Some are already welcoming walk-ins, while others are open by appointment only. Many showrooms are now requiring masks for both associates and designers, and a few are asking customers to sanitize their hands before entering. In short: the procedures and policies at each showroom are vastly different. Here’s what you should know before you go.

Abrash

Our showrooms, Abrash Rugs and Abrash Modern, are open Monday through Friday during regular business hours. We will continue to practice social distancing measures to help ensure the health and safety of our clients and employees. Masks are not required but know that we can accommodate various client preferences.

Ann Sacks

We’re open for appointments. This is limited to two customers at a time. Masks are required.

Anteks

Our abbreviated hours are Monday through Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. We are rotating sales staff so that there are fewer people in the store. Face masks aren’t required for employees, but we’re encouraging their use. We have extra masks for clients who need them. Hand sanitizers are placed throughout the store, and we are also cleaning solid surfaces regularly: door handles, light switches, phones, etc. Finally, employees will no longer have communal lunches.

Arsin Rug Gallery

We opened our showroom as soon as they lifted the restrictions. We’re back to maintaining our regular hours, Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. We prefer if clients call ahead, but we don’t require an appointment. As for safety protocols, we keep the place disinfected. We have face masks and hand sanitizers available for visitors should they feel the need to use them. We’re also fortunate to have plenty of space, so social distancing won’t be a problem.

Arteriors Dallas

We plan to reopen on May 18. We will remain open by appointment only. Masks will be required for customers and staff.

Artistic Tile

We are open Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. To ensure the continued safety of our guests and staff, face coverings and social distancing are required inside the showroom. If clients don’t have face coverings, we are pleased to provide them. We thank all our clients for their understanding and cooperation as we work to keep everyone safe while getting back to business.

Baker Dallas

Baker is open during normal business hours. We are able to assist in person as well as virtually for those who are not ready to venture out yet. At the showroom, we will take temperatures with a touchless forehead thermometer upon arrival, and we ask that masks be worn and distances maintained. We have disposable masks on the way for clients who don’t bring one. We are requesting but not requiring that clients make appointments.

Brendan Bass

We are open during regular business hours. Social distancing regulations apply.

Cantoni

All of our Dallas locations are currently open. Retail customers can visit both Cantoni Dallas and our Dallas outlet. Our Cantoni Trade location in the Dallas Design District is also open to designers. We do ask visitors to wear a mask (and if they do not have one, we will provide one.) If a customer doesn’t feel comfortable coming into the showroom but still would like assistance, we will schedule special appointments at times when the store or showroom is less busy. We can do video conferencing and other virtual methods, too. Gov. Abbott’s mandate of 25 percent occupancy is fine, as our showrooms are extremely large. Social distancing will be easily maintained.

Carlisle Wide Plank Floors

We are open by appointment only. Employees will be wearing masks and will provide masks for clients. Please call 214-765-2285 for appointments and more information.

Ceylon et Cie

We are open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. We have not been letting anyone into the store, but we have offered curbside order pick-up. Next week we are allowing customers to visit by appointment only. We will have no more than three customers in the store at a time, and we are only accepting four appointments a day.

Christopher Peacock

We opened on May 4 and are open normal business hours. We’re assuring our clients and guests that we are doing all we can to keep our showroom clean and safe. People are welcome to come in, and as they enter our showroom, we ask that they use the hand sanitizer we have provided and consider wearing a mask.

Dallas Luxury Beds

We have reopened our showroom. We are open Monday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. We have introduced additional rigorous cleaning procedures within the store and delivery vehicles. We have brought cleaning wipes and hand sanitizers forward in the store for clients and associates to use. Additionally, we are sanitizing linens and pillowcases for every guest during the bed sampling process. Guests and staff will wear masks and maintain 6 feet of distance. After-hour private appointments are available.

Dallas Market Center

We are open. Visitors are encouraged to call ahead and make appointments to visit our showrooms.

David Sutherland

Our Dallas and Houston locations opened this week, but we are by appointment only at this time. We have stringent sanitation protocols. Employees and clients are expected to wear masks, according to CDC guidelines. We clean all surfaces in the morning, after each appointment, and before we leave in the evening. We pay special care to high-use surfaces. Sanitation stations with bottles of hand sanitizer, sanitizing wipes, and masks are set up at the main entrances of the showrooms. (At the showrooms with multiple doors, we only have one entrance open. If a showroom has a roll-up gate, then each opening should have a sanitation station.) We are maintaining six feet of distance between showroom staff members.

Ebanista

As of May 11th, Ebanista is welcoming customers during our normal business hours of 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Dallas showroom has been thoroughly sanitized. COVID-19 safety and social distancing protocols are being adamantly followed. Masks and hand sanitizer are provided just inside the entrance. Please be so kind as to wear a mask upon entering and we will have ours on as well. Should you prefer to schedule an appointment, or contact us remotely, please call us at 214-760-7677 or email us at [email protected]. Fabric, finish, and rug samples can still be sent out as needed.

Fabricut

Our Houston, Dallas, and Tulsa showrooms are now open by appointment only. We require that our visiting designers wear masks. Our staff will be wearing masks and cleaning surfaces throughout the day. Each memo pad and pen will be disinfected between uses.

Feizy

We are open and ready to service our designer and retail clients. The safety of our clients and team is our top priority. We have masks and hand sanitizer available throughout the showroom and have escalated our already high cleaning standards.  We welcome appointments and virtual visits with our showroom team.  Please contact the showroom directly at 214-747-0040 should you have any questions or would like to make an appointment.

Gracie

We are limiting employees to one per week. We are strongly encouraging private appointments, and we ask visitors to wear a mask and practice social distancing. Contact us via email or call the showroom at 214-749-5777 to schedule. Samples can also be requested and mailed or dropped off.

Holland & Sherry

We are open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and we just ask designers to do what makes them feel the safest and most comfortable. We have hand sanitizer, Clorox, and masks.

Holly Hunt

Holly Hunt Dallas is open as of Monday, May 11. We offer private shopping experiences by appointment only on both weekdays and weekends. We will also provide virtual personal shopping experiences through Zoom and FaceTime. A sanitation station will be provided upon entry and masks will be mandatory for our staff and clients. We will be checking our staff’s temperature each morning. We have instituted new processes around sample requests, cleaning, and many other facets to ensure your safety. Our staff will work staggered hours to limit the number of people in our space at a time. To make an appointment, please reach out to your sales associate or contact 214-245-4770 or [email protected].

ID Collection

Our showroom is open at our regular hours. Since we have such large square footage, there isn’t an issue with social distancing and we can accommodate designers whenever they come by. For their protection and ours, we just ask that they wear a mask when around others. We can provide one if needed. We have hand sanitizer stations throughout the showroom and we are cleaning everything continually.

James Showroom

Craig is back in the showroom Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and we can have samples ready for pick-up if designers are out and about. That said, we are still closed to visits for another week or so, due to the rising COVID-19 numbers in Dallas. We are looking at opening our calendar to scheduled visits beginning May 18. This will allow someone to book a 45-minute visit to the showroom; masks are required per CDC guidelines. If they would prefer a virtual Zoom visit, we can accommodate that as well. If the showroom is not scheduled, we will allow a drop-by showroom visit as long as the customer has a mask. We will also be conducting weekly cleanings of the showroom and multiple daily wipe downs of public surfaces.

Jan Showers

We are open during our regular business hours, but we are allowing a limited number of guests by appointment only. Call 214-747-5252 to schedule.

Jean De Merry

We are open by appointment, and I am here from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. every day. The requirements are to wear a mask and maintain social distancing.

Kravet Lee Jofa Brunschwig & Fils

We are happy to announce that the Kravet-Lee Jofa-Brunschwig & Fils-Dallas showroom is now open by appointment only. Please call 214-741-2755 or email [email protected] to secure a time. If you happen to find yourself at the Design Center and need access to the showroom without an appointment, we will allow entry as long as we have not reached our safe occupancy limit. Masks will be required while in the showroom.

Laura Lee Clark

We are open by appointment only, and masks are required.

Made Goods

I am in the showroom full-time, Monday to Friday, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. For the time being, we are allowing customers by appointment only. We are asking that our customers wear masks; I will wear one as well. I do have a few masks here if someone does not have one.

Mecox

We are indeed open, although with an abbreviated team and hours. Right now, we are open Monday through Friday from 10:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. We are running a 30 percent discount on almost everything; the sale will run through May 15. All sales are final as part of that promo, and we’re not doing any approvals right now. We’re not requiring anything, but we are asking that people respect social distancing while in the shop. Face masks are appreciated.

Palecek

Our Dallas showroom will be opening next week. We will require face coverings, gloves, and hand sanitizer, all of which Palecek will provide.

Paris Ceramics

We are open by appointment only right now. We will reopen with normal business hours on Monday, May 18.

Peacock Alley

This week, we started softly opening our Texas-based stores: Austin, Dallas Design District, and our outlets in Dallas and Plano. We are open Monday to Friday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., and our outlets are open Tuesday to Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. We have signage at each location to explain what we’re doing to keep our employees and customers safe.

We ask that everyone wear a mask. If you do not have a mask, a complimentary one will be provided. We are limiting the number of customers into the store at one time and there is a sanitization station upon entry. Still, we expect that not everyone will be comfortable coming into our stores right away. Our goal is to meet them where they are most comfortable. If that means that they still prefer to shop from home, we will work with them over email, the phone, or even schedule appointments for video shopping. If customers prefer curbside service, we are happy to do that as well. Our phones are still being forwarded to our store personnel so that if a customer needs anything outside of these limited hours, we can set up an appointment and serve them with ease.

Poggenpohl

We are open Monday to Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. by appointment only. We ask that all guests wear masks.

Scott + Cooner

We are open Monday to Friday. From 9 a.m. to 10 a.m., we will be open for appointments only. From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., walk-ins are welcome. We do ask that people please wear a mask, and we provide hand sanitizer.

Taylors

We are taking it slow. The showroom is closed, but we are offering limited appointments. Call 214-651-9565 to schedule. We do require masks while in the showroom.

TimberBlind MetroShade

We are open, but we highly suggest making an appointment. We’re requiring masks and gloves, and we are taking our guests’ temperatures before they enter. It must be below 100 degrees for them to enter. I have masks and gloves for guests if needed.

Walker Zanger

Walker Zanger is opening by appointment only starting May 18, and we will phase into accommodating walk-ins when the associates are comfortable or when the market demands it. All Walker Zanger associates will be given 2 masks and we are asking guests to wear masks, too. We will be practicing social distancing.

Waterworks

Nothing is more important than keeping our clients and employees safe during this time. We hope to continue to inspire and excite you with our products and to service your projects while ensuring the safest environment within our control. To do so, we’re following all CDC cleaning guidelines and state-mandated social distancing protocols, both for customers and staff.

Our team will be wearing protective masks and we ask that you do the same. If you don’t have a mask, we’re happy to provide one. Guests will be asked to wash their hands and/or disinfect with hand sanitizer upon entering the showroom. We will maintain a safe distance between all guests. Our staff will sanitize all work areas between client visits and every evening. Contactless payment options are available upon request. Prefer to work remotely? Our sales consultants are also available by phone or video conference to continue to provide the level of quality and service you expect from Waterworks.
