Your search for a new home doesn’t have to pause completely amid other COVID-19 cancelations. Although brokers are taking certain precautions to ensure home sellers and shoppers alike are protected from the Coronavirus, as of now, most open houses planned for this weekend are still happening, with exception to those listed by Rogers Healy. According to Kendra Lancaster, a spokesperson for Allie Beth Allman, their open houses listings have actually even increased from 40 to 47 between yesterday and today.

Like the others, Ebby Halliday has established new protocols to keep the properties safe. Not only will they require visitors to disinfect their hands upon entering a home, they will provide disposable tissues and gloves for touching doorknobs, faucets, and light switches. They are also encouraging agents to implement a one-group-at-a-time policy during the open house so that interaction between people is minimized, and they’re of course recommending that sellers clean and disinfect their home after showings.

While pretty much everything’s on track right now, things can change quickly. The best way to stay up-to-date on open house cancelations is to watch each listing on the perspective broker’s website.

6620 Golf Drive | Sunday, 1 to 3p.m.

Open Houses

The Neighborhood: University Park

The Price: $4,495,000

The Appeal: While the architecture in Dallas is striking and innovative, our town isn’t necessarily known for its red brick buildings. That made stumbling across this Tudor all the more refreshing. Built in 2006, but just recently renovated, all you traditionalists out there (whether young or old) should get a load of this place.

4425 Pomona Road | Sunday, 2 to 4 p.m. Open Houses

The Neighborhood: Bluffview

The Price: $2,199,000

The Appeal: Although modern by nature, this isn’t your run-of-the-mill contemporary creation. The walkway parallel to the driveway, the blonde-wood motif, and black accents set it apart. Plus, there’s no furniture inside, so when you pay the pad a visit, you can start planning your takeover without any distractions.

5843 Royal Crest Drive | Sunday, 2 to 4 p.m.Open Housees

The Neighborhood: North Dallas

The Price: $2,349,000

The Appeal: While we think it’s OK to judge a book by its cover when it comes to home ogling, don’t make too many assumptions about 5843 Royal Crest Dive before stepping inside. Albeit gorgeous from the outside in, admiring only from the curb could give you a misconception about its size. 6,435 square feet in total, this estate packs a punch with its two stories, five bedrooms, and 5.2 bathrooms.
