CB2 Arrives in Knox District This Month

Crate & Barrel’s sister brand will take over Forty Five Ten's former space.

When For Home by Forty Five Ten closed last summer, not long after The T Room and its tuna melts bid us adieu, we were sad. Not just because the store served as a stunning showcase for Dallas’ A-list interior design talent (Jan Showers, George Cameron Nash, Emily Summers, the list goes on), but because the future of the beautiful 1929 building that housed it was suddenly unclear.

Fortunately, the fate of the ivy-covered courtyard spot at 4510 McKinney Avenue landed with CB2, Crate & Barrel’s sister store, which will open next Friday. Known for sleek, minimalist, and affordable designs, CB2 will fill its new 8,392 square feet with curated showrooms displaying exclusive artwork, home office accessories, and frames. Dallas’ first CB2 store also means we’ll have brick-and-mortar access to the brand’s killer collaborations, which have included collections with Fred Segal, Goop, and GQ.

CB2 is celebrating its Dallas opening with a launch party (and 15 percent off all full-priced items) on September 19 from 6-9pm. For more on changes happening in Knox District, click here (for a history of Weir’s) and here (for what we know about the new RH store).
