There’s still time to stock up on discounted staples.

Everyone on the internet is talking about Amazon Prime Day, so we’ve asked our D Home editors what they’d choose from the deeply discounted selection.

Sarah Bennett, Managing Editor

“If I’m going to partake in Prime Day, I want it to be a significant saving. This herb seed pod kit, at the moment, is 47 percent off and adds a nice, fresh element to your kitchen.”

Morganne Stewart, Art Manager

For Morganne’s new home, she’s “actually buying” these four essentials: remote controlled lights, an area rug, a Nespresso machine (she says, “treat yourself!”), and this Juice Beauty moisturizer to combat those new-homeowner-stress-wrinkles.

Meghan Lally, Assistant Editor

“There are two items that are staples in my kitchen. The first is a mini food processor. Since my diet (keto) requires quite a bit of chopping, it’s handy to have something that will do it for you. While I also have a full-sized food processor, this mini is much more accessible and easy to clean. The second product I use all the time is Braggs Apple Cider Vinegar. While it’s useful to keep around for cooking, it’s even better for cleaning. I’ve never gotten a surface shinier than I do with Braggs. Only downfall is that it can leave a little bit of an odor, so while we’re at it, you might want to grab some Meyer’s Air Freshener, too. Most air fresheners are highly toxic and harmful to your health, but Meyer’s is made with essential oils and plant-derived ingredients.

And while I know the purpose of Prime Day is to get discounts on more expensive products, the everyday stuff can add up, so why not stock up while it’s cheap?”
