Back in 2008, we resisted calling out the lions that stand guard at this 6,358-square-foot home in Kessler Park because, honestly, it was just too beautiful. Now, more than ten years later, the home often referred to as “The Kessler Mansion” is still more than capable of pulling off those sizable stone lions.
And as beautiful as the image photographer Scott Womack captured for that 2008 spread is, what we’ve been given this year—on January 11, to be exact—may be even better. Available for the first time since 2007, David Griffin & Company’s listing for 1177 Lausanne offers 28 fantastic photos of the ’20s manse. Take in the opulent sunroom, the rich hues of the dining area, the elegance of loggias and their arched columns, the simply wild Michelangelo-inspired ceiling in a bedroom, and the straight Gatsby-like lavishness of the backyard pool. And let’s all take a moment to bask in the remarkable fortitude of those towering cypress trees.
You deserve a little real estate eye candy on this dreary Wednesday.
