This Instagram Is the Easiest Way to Look at Dallas Christmas Lights

Happy holidays, and you're welcome.

We have a lot of options when it comes to Christmas light viewings in Dallas. A meandering drive around the M Streets or along Swiss Avenue is filled with cheer. To see professionals at work, take a trip to Farmers Branch or Texas Motor Speedway. You could even book a horse-drawn carriage ride to escort you around the mother of all neighborhood displays: Highland Park. (Unless you’re Zac Crain, who will not be doing that!)

But there’s a new option this year. It’s a free option, that seems to be taking you predominately to Highland Park, but also elegant homes in Old East Dallas and such. It doesn’t require hot chocolate or slow horses. You don’t even have to leave your house. Guys, it’s Michael Wong’s Instagram account, and it’s awesome.

An agent with Briggs Freeman Sotheby’s International, Wong has been posting the prettiest exteriors in town for years. His ’gram always been a good follow, but come holiday time, it also becomes the easiest way to get your eyes on some truly well-done Christmas lights.  Just look at this!

Two years ago he posted this Greek Revival’s display and I’m still not over it.

All of this is to say that it’s nice to have options. Especially free options that don’t require a person to wear pants if that person doesn’t particularly feel like it. You’re welcome, and happy holidays.
