You know what might be just as scary as Friday the 13th? The bars during TX/OU tomorrow. (Did I write out the abbreviation for the Texas Oklahoma game correctly? If not, I know nothing and I apologize.) But fear not, fellow crowd haters. There are amazing TX/OU boots from Miron Crosby, a pre-game at The Gypsy Wagon, and plenty of other non-football and fright-related things we’re loving this week to keep your mind of the madness.
Miron Crosby’s TX/OU Boots
We’re not sure why these boots are named Blake, but we don’t care. They’re limited edition, an actually-cute way to show your loyalty, and we’d like to think they’re named in honor of Blake Lively’s fantastic new power lob. We love them.
Seeing Our Favorite Dallas Brands at Magnolia’s Silobration
We’ve spotted some of our favorite Dallas shops and artisans (including two 2017 D Bests!) at Chip and Joanna’s annual Silobration. The weekend festival in Waco features 80 vendors from across America and is free to shoppers during the day.

Brenda Bogart + at Blue Print
If you’ve ever visited Blue Print, you know an art show in their charming uptown store is something to see. But in case you need a little tempting, Dallas artist Brenda Bogart (who is represented by Blue Print) has been teasing a few of the works you may see next Thursday.

OETL Co. Pop-Up in Victory Park
In a milestone move on its way to becoming a retail destination in Dallas, downtown’s Victory Park welcomes its first pop-up retailer, OETL Co. The Dallas-based brand’s globally-sourced handmade accessories, clothing, and home goods are beautifully minimalistic and all handmade by artisans in Italy and Argentina.
A Tasteful Place’s Fall Activities
The Dallas Arboretum’s newest garden launches its very first tastings, demonstrations, and classes this month. Stop by this weekend for a healthy eating series and a vegetable tart cooking competition on Saturday, followed by a demonstration from TV host and professional gardener P. Allen Smith on Sunday.
PHLUR Candles
Two D Home editors have a bit more than a fragrance infatuation with Austin-based Phlur. The innovative online brand helps you choose your perfect fragrance based on digital visual stories (including Spotify playlists) for their six scents, but their products are also deeply addicting. This week, Phlur just debuted three new scents in candle form intended to be paired with the original fragrances. For example, Annica pairs perfectly with our managing editor Sarah Bennett’s favorite, Hanami, while my personal preference, Hepcat, finds its candle counterpart in Howl.
