Hot Property: Shotgun House Featured on Fixer Upper

It’s little, but it’s big.

I’ll be honest, I don’t watch Fixer Upper, or anything on HGTV, but I know that Chip and Joanna Gaines are the fixer uppers, and that Waco is the land in which they reign supreme. It’s also apparently a place where they fix some stuff up, including this 1,000-square-foot shotgun house.

Located just across from Baylor’s McLane Stadium and mere blocks from Chip and Joanna’s The Magnolia Market at the Silos, the thoughtfully designed home would serve as a killer Airbnb, or just a killer home for a Waco devotee. Through the Dutch front door, you’ll find a bright, open living plan and a lofty, 25-foot ceiling equipped with an energy efficient Big Ass Fan. You’ll see longleaf pine wood floors, a kitchen with a gas range, subway tile, and honed granite counters, a loft area that could serve as an office, and a master bedroom and bathroom (tucked behind the kitchen) with double sinks, poured concrete countertops, and lots of lovely deep blue accents. Plus, everything from the sugar kettle fire pit to the retro, turquoise-colored Smeg fridge is included (sans Airstream, sadly).

The only real concern, I suppose, would be knowing that no matter how good your filter game is, your home will always be a bigger deal on Instagram than you.
