“Fancy” is a tough word to define. Lots of things can be fancy. A dog wearing a designer hoodie could be considered fancy. Adding a doily to the bottom of a drinking glass can certainly up its fanciness levels. And an illustration of a top hat-wearing frog should be universally accepted as very fancy.
Truth be told, fanciness is in the eye of the beholder, but some things exude so much fancification (see how we just created an even fancier version of the word fancy), they simplify cannot be denied. The following homes are such examples.
5119 Burkett Drive
The Price: $2,395,000
The Fanciest Features: The whole home has a sort of penthouse-in-Las-Vegas vibe and it’s fantastic. The gourmet kitchen and saltwater pool aren’t too shabby either.
Overall Fanciness Level: 7/10. Pure, contemporary, white-leather-couch-filled fanciness.
5 Stonebriar Way
The Price: $6,749,900
The Fanciest Features: It’s the largest residential property in Frisco, there is a 50,000-gallon pool, multiple tennis courts, and a remarkably large grill area. People legitimately get married here.
Overall Fanciness Level: 8/10. The interior’s finishes can feel a little heavy at times, but people get married here.
2280 Creekridge Drive
The Price: $6,495,000
The Fanciest Features: You like fountains? This place has fountains. The pool has fountains. The driveway has a massive fountain. A random courtyard in the middle of a house has a tiered fountain. There’s also a private sauna, an elevator, and a two-story media room that feature no fountains, but they still look pretty fabulous.
Overall Fanciness Level: 9/10. The sheer volume of chandeliers and fountains is undeniable, but the dramatic double curved stairwell in the foyer really upped this home’s rating.
1680 Prince William Lane
The Price: $1,800,000
The Fanciest Features: From the cathedral-arched corridors and massive chandeliers to the rich hues of the seemingly ominipresent drapery, there are endless over-the-top details in this European-inspired residence in Stonebriar Country Club Estates.
Overall Fanciness Level: 10/10. With its Venetian plaster walls and plaster gilded moldings, the “chateau” impressively emulates its royal address.
